Sentosa Flowers 2012

Eric and I had a great photography fellowship today at Sentosa. It is the annual Sentosa Flowers exhibition. There were so many flowers, really flower overloaded!

The idea of love came to my mind immediately when I saw this flower that looked like a heart shape.

Looking at this pink colour, I guess this is a lady dragon!

Visitors queuing up to take photo of themselves painting the eye of the dragon. A Chinese idiom that says "draw the dragon and paint the eye."

This cluster of chrysanthemums just look magnificent, especially with the dark background.

Somehow, I love this photo of the lone cluster of flowers a lot. Tiny flowers are beautiful in their own way.

This is another of my favourite photo. This type of photo can be placed in spa or holiday resort.

Lone flower has its own way of beauty, especially against a bokeh.

I think this photo of this white flower against a darker background.

Are these long tentacles stigma or anther? Remember last time in Biology class, we learnt about parts of the flowers such as filament, style, etc.

Did you notice that the flower colour and the surrounding leaves are always matching? It always interesting to see and appreciate the beauty of intelligent design! :)

Clusters of tiny purple flowers begin to grow on me! I think that this colour is really beautiful.

A cluster of beautiful red flowers trailing downward.

Sometimes, a single stalk of flower is also very pretty!

Surprisingly, there weren't a lot of bees in Sentosa Flowers. I expected more as there were so many flowers here. Why huh?

I love this photo where a few flowers were in focus while the rest were off focus, feel being surrounded in a large field of flowers.

 Is this morning glory?

Picture of Yeo's packet drink came out when I took this photo of the chrysanthemum.  I remembered I always drank the Yeo's packet drink during Chinese New Year when I was a kid.

I find this purple flowers too bright and looked like radioactive! LOL

Ying Liu against a green background (with other flowers in bokeh) looked very beautiful! I think it looked more beautiful this way at the outdoor than keep at home in a vase.

People waiting eagerly to take picture at the heart-shaped arch formed by flowers.

Snake charmer spotted entertaining the crowds.

We had been hearing loud cries of animal as we were cutting through the bushes to the beach.  Later we discovered that it was this white wild parrot.

The camera-shy white parrot flew from the bushes unto the stem and peeked at us!  I think the way it gripped unto the stem and balanced itself was very cute. A pair of well designed claws that can support its weight!

Somehow remind me of Korean drama where the couple knew each others when they were kids....

Kids playing at the beach is always a beautiful scene.

We saw this cute little doggy playing at the water besides the beach with its owner. I think it's a puppy!

The place was super crowded until it was just difficult to get out of the trapped island. The queue at the monorail station was extremely long. So, we walked out by foot instead, cutting across Beach Station to Imbiah Station to the Resort World and then to the Broadwalk. Thank God there are a few travelator at the Broadwalk, helping our tired and painful feet.
