New Year Eve

We had an enjoyable new year eve today! After having breakfast at Olio Dome, we went for the last jog of 2011 in Punggol Park at 1130am. As there are lots of trees, it's still bearable. But dun think we'll be jogging at noon any more :P

Then we had lunch at Manhattan Fish in City Square Mall. We had the set meal. This blue Gummy Bear juice is nice! Taste a bit like Spirite.

For dinner, we went to Wild Oats at Punggol Park. Yes, Punggol Park again. But it's atmosphere at night is different and nice. Our first time having dinner at Wild Oats and we love that place!

The food at Wild Oats is nice!

We noticed one interesting sign on the table. :P We have a nice and memorable new year eve! :)

Thank God for 2011

Year 2011 is almost over! Last year, I did a post on 22 things I am thankful to God in 2010I am going to reflect and list down list of things I am thankful to God too this year.

I thank God that He gave me an attitude of contentment. I'm really satisfied with everything in my life. From the worldly point of view, I didn't attain materialistic 5Cs, etc.

I'm thankful to God for my family - nice parents, in-laws and wife.

I'm thankful to God that I completed 11 years of service in DSTA and found some good friends and Christian brothers.

I am thankful to God for guiding me to resolve sins which I had been struggling for years. I'm still in the midst of dealing with them but I'm thankful that I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm thankful to God for providing for a new job which I enjoyed. And I thank God that I have been confirmed after 6 months probation.

I'm thankful to God that I am able to find my direction in life. This is something not to be taken granted for and it's God's grace totally.

I am thankful to God to have found a good dentist near my office.

I'm thankful to God that I picked up swimming again and have shown signed of improvements.

I am thankful to God for His grace and protection that I am still a Christian. It is because of His protection that I am able to continue to walk this path.

I'm thankful to God that I am able to run again after so many years. Though it still take many years to pick up my stamina and improve my breathing, I am thankful to God that it is by His grace that I am still healthy. I never know when my health will break down. So I treasure each day. Be it healthy or in sickness, I will give thanks to God and the ability to give thanks in good and bad times are 100% God's grace, not by my human ability.

I'm thankful to God that I am still alive and healhty after 36 years on Earth.

We gave away many old clothes in the recycle bag. Also, gave away old books. In my life, I have more things that I need. In fact, humans do not need so many things to survive or be happy. We can actually live a joyful, yet simple life. I am thankful to God for the more than enough things I have; and I shouldn't be buying things without proper thought and be a good manager of the money God gives me out of grace.  I need to learn not to waste food too.

Looking forward to go Heaven each day! 1 more year closer! :)

My goal for 2012, if God permits and if, by grace of God I'm still alive, is to get myself more ready to meet Him. I found myself far from ready. Really want to improve my relationship and walk with Him.

Photoshooting in church

Can you spot me? It had been so many months since I did event photography.

Paul Yeo died in 2071

I really live till 96 years old? Actually, my dream is to get ready myself to meet the LORD, meaning love Him more, read His Word more, sin less. serve Him more, evangelise more, assurance of salvation, pray more, closer to Him. Sometimes when we know when we dying, then we start panic and want to do more things and have the courage to evangelise. Otherwise, we are procrastinating....

Dear's Home-made Bento

My dear made me a home-made bento to bring to office for breakfast today! Nice! Hope to have more!

My dear's dinner

Few days ago, I bought this golden pomfret. First time buying this type of fish to steam and it's nice definitely, worthy of its $8.90 price tag per piece.  This week my dear was on leave so she could cook for me at home. I really love coming home with nicely cooked food waiting! Also, today I got a surprise! My wife bought me a work shirt and a polo tee as Christmas present! Going to wear tomorrow to work!

Drying the red plastic bags

This family always has lots of red plastic bags to hang up for drying. :)

Borrow DVD from National Library

We saw this MBT shoes. Interesting design!

We saw nice sunset at Nex roof top!

We borrow 7 DVD from the National Library to watch during the 3 day long weekend holiday. :) Free ones! Nice!

Post Christmas Vacation

We had a fun day today! Both of us took annual leave to have a rest day from work. In the morning, my dear went to see Dr Sun, our usual dentist at Bukit Merah, our ex-office area.

Then we had lunch at JPot at Vivocity, just a few bus stop away from Bukit Merah.

After that we went to Logos Hope, a ship bookstore that is in Singapore during this period, at Vivocity

It has lots of Christian books!

 We bought 2 of them.

Some nice drawing on the ship.

We went to Page One, one of our favourite bookshops.

It has many nice stationary! :)

But sadly, Page One will be closed on 19 February 2012 :(
It's sad that most Singaporeans don't read, they prefer shopping, gadgets, computer games and movies.

Christmas cell group

We had a nice Christmas potluck-style dinner at Jeffrey's new house today for the entire cell group. Our pastor and his wife also joined us.

Jeffrey keeps a cute dog. It's the same species as the one in MIB movie.

See! So many nice food!

Sparrows

We spotted 2 cute sparrows sitting outside the windows.

The cute sparrow looking down....

It is jumping around ... until it stopped at the edge. It's so tiny. Amazing creation of God! So wonderfully designed!  :)

Boxing Day Jog

We went for a jog this morning after breakfast at Rivervale Plaza.

We started from Punggol Promenade. Wen noticed that the river's water is brownish today.  Is it seasonal?

The underpass from Punggol Promenade to Punggol Park was finally opened!

 This was the underpass scene...

Some dog had left its paw print along the way...

The outrer-rim of the Punggol Park is nice...with lots of large trees.

As a tree lover, I was busy taking pictures of trees....

 So many beautiful trees...

The tree on the right side is so huge.

Giant roots surfacing onto the grass field...
