Few days ago my glasses broken. It was the second time the frame broken. I think it was due to corrosion due to my sweat. The new one I got is made of titanium. Should be more weather proof. :)
After my first cleaning didn't turn out well using normal washing powder in last year July, we decided to use Vanish fabric stain remover powder.
We didn't expect so much soapy and bubbly water! We didn't encounter so much bubbly water when we used normal washing powder. Wonder if we cannot use it on a front-load washer?
The result is good! If you compare to the photo taken last year, you can see a vast improvement. Vanish really vanishes stain! :)
Today, we went to Pasir Ris Park. It's my first time there!
Cycled for 1 hour. Pasir Ris Park is very conducive for cycling and blading as there wasn't many people. On the other hand, East Coast is always superpacked with people.
Beach always has nice view and ambience, especially here as it is peaceful due to lesser crowds.
This iconic playground is in Pasir Ris for over 20 years but it was my first time seeing it.
We discovered there is a pony stable where kids can ride the pony. I wanted to pat the lovely pony but was afraid that it would bite me.
My dear zooming into me fast!
I think the water must be deep since large ships are so near. We cycled towards the east, next time will do the west side.
I think I am not suitable to teach in a problem-based learning environment. I saw an old bro-in-Christ from the Navigators there who is a part-time facilitator. Didn't see him for so long. Feel pretty good to meet up again :)
Bought this "Sams Teach Yourself. iPhone Application Development in 24 Hours" book from the PC Book Centre at Funan some time back. I like its full-coloured pages, easy to follow style. I am having fun learning Xcode and Objective C! :)
With programming background, Objective C is not difficult for me to pick up.
Up is one of my favourite animations. Well drawn graphics, good and meaning plot, solid character designs, entertaining, memorable, sweet scenes and music... that's why my dear rented it for us to watch together again. :)
I googled to find out how long does it take to steam a black pomfret. But I couldn't find any info because no one does that!
I steamed this 20-cm black pomfret for 25 minutes with only ginger slices. The timing is good; the flesh tastes nice with a bit of the Kikkoman soya sauce from the Cold Storage sushi shop.
Who say steamed black pomfret not nice? :) It costs $6 and when eaten at restaurant, it will probably cost $25 I guess.
After going for National Library Book Exchange programmes twice in 2009 and 2010, we don't want to miss out the good deal this year! But we got fewer books as we gave 10 book coupons to my dad, who loves to read.
Going to enjoy some fun with Objective C programming for iPad and iPhone apps!
Using external monitor as extended desktop is really useful in software development. One screen showing the IDE while the other shows the online help resources. Mac OS X allows desktop extension without any configurations.
I called to ask how long the delivery will take before confirming our order. I was told the delivery time was 30 mins. So, I started timing the moment I put down my phone...and guess what, it really arrived exactly 30 mins!
After getting very good books from the previous NLB book exchanges, we'll be going for 2011 book exchange! These are the books we'll be exchanging for coupons.
Construction workers of Compassvale Beacon were tearing down their hostel. This means that this area going to be opened soon. And we can cut across to Rivervale Plaza easily!
