Thank God for 2011

Year 2011 is almost over! Last year, I did a post on 22 things I am thankful to God in 2010I am going to reflect and list down list of things I am thankful to God too this year.

I thank God that He gave me an attitude of contentment. I'm really satisfied with everything in my life. From the worldly point of view, I didn't attain materialistic 5Cs, etc.

I'm thankful to God for my family - nice parents, in-laws and wife.

I'm thankful to God that I completed 11 years of service in DSTA and found some good friends and Christian brothers.

I am thankful to God for guiding me to resolve sins which I had been struggling for years. I'm still in the midst of dealing with them but I'm thankful that I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm thankful to God for providing for a new job which I enjoyed. And I thank God that I have been confirmed after 6 months probation.

I'm thankful to God that I am able to find my direction in life. This is something not to be taken granted for and it's God's grace totally.

I am thankful to God to have found a good dentist near my office.

I'm thankful to God that I picked up swimming again and have shown signed of improvements.

I am thankful to God for His grace and protection that I am still a Christian. It is because of His protection that I am able to continue to walk this path.

I'm thankful to God that I am able to run again after so many years. Though it still take many years to pick up my stamina and improve my breathing, I am thankful to God that it is by His grace that I am still healthy. I never know when my health will break down. So I treasure each day. Be it healthy or in sickness, I will give thanks to God and the ability to give thanks in good and bad times are 100% God's grace, not by my human ability.

I'm thankful to God that I am still alive and healhty after 36 years on Earth.

We gave away many old clothes in the recycle bag. Also, gave away old books. In my life, I have more things that I need. In fact, humans do not need so many things to survive or be happy. We can actually live a joyful, yet simple life. I am thankful to God for the more than enough things I have; and I shouldn't be buying things without proper thought and be a good manager of the money God gives me out of grace.  I need to learn not to waste food too.

Looking forward to go Heaven each day! 1 more year closer! :)

My goal for 2012, if God permits and if, by grace of God I'm still alive, is to get myself more ready to meet Him. I found myself far from ready. Really want to improve my relationship and walk with Him.
