I love my job, it's the work I hate!
The words on the mug are "I love my job, i's the work I hate!"
I have been here, in the same company, since graduated from university, for nearly 10 years. I worked here since end 2000, so by end 2010, it will be a full 10 years. Time really flies. 10 years don't feel very long. I wonder how long will I stay in this job?
People always say that who will be satisfied with their salary. I often disagreed with them. I have already reached contentment in my salary years ago. If I ever leave my job, it will be that I found a job in a polytechnic, not because of higher pay. I worked in a polytechnic, when I got my diploma, for some time, writing software and some publishing works. That was one of my most enjoyable time.

iPad iOS 4.2.1
I upgraded my iPad to iOS 4.2.1! I love the multi-tasking and folder features. Like OS X, Apple OS upgrade is very easy and fast.
Apple desktop OS, OS X upgrade, unlike Windows, no need to re-format. I had upgraded my Mac from Tiger to Leopard and Snow Leopard, all without re-format and there is no drop in performance (such as getting slower over time).
Backup to iOS, the only thing I don't like about iOS upgrade is the backup! The backup takes very long, nearly 1 hour for me. And I couldn't skip this step. And if I accidentally kick the USB cable, the backup sync will be drop and I will have to re-do everything. So, for this upgrade, I just left it there, don't touch it.
Now happy with my new iOS :)

Dinner and Dance
My dear went for her new company dinner and dance. As for me, can you believe it, I haven't been to my company D&D before, even though I worked here for nearly 10 years! Here are some of the nice food photos she took for me to see :)
Her D&D is free and come with 16GB thumb drive as door gift!

The food is a typical 10-course Chinese banquet except no shark fin. Replaced with this soup.
Fish! No need to struggle extracting meat from the fish as the waitress will distribute the meat to everyone.
Dessert time!

Default Apple iPad Case Review
My iPad has been without a case for some time as it is really lovely to feel and hold its metallic body! Also, I converted my SIM to micro-SIM recently. So, I begun my hunt for an iPad case.
I didn't buy the default Apple iPad Case as I felt that S$58 was too expensive. Throughout my search, I found many nice cases. But all of them are above $60. Some of them even close to hundred!
This prompted me to look at the cheong one. They are really much cheaper at S$20. But the quality and design really cannot make it.
Finally, I decided I will go back to the one that Apple designed. Also, I seen many people using this default case, so I cannot go really wrong with it, huh?
By the way, it also comes with a cleaning cloth for the screen.
The iPad is slotted in through its side. After slot in, there is even a cover to wrap the inner side. The case is very tight fitting. My desire is to use the iPad uncovered at home and covered when I bring it out. But due to this tightness, it would be very troublesome to take out and put it back regularly.
Of course, all the buttons, USB charging port and speakers are uncovered.
At the back, there is a slot.
This slot is for clipping the front cover when it is flipped to its back, so that the iPad can stand up like a digital photo frame. But somehow, it is not entirely stable. I think it is because the case is new. I believe after it is seasoned, it will be stable.
We tried typing when it is in photo frame-position. We are able to type easily without toppling it.
Actually, it looks very nice as a digital photo frame! After using it with the case for a while, I will keep my iPad in the case even at home, as the case is well designed, it is a pleasure to use without any inconvenience.
This iPad case is my first accessory. As I have never bought any screen protector, case or keyboard cover for my notebook, iPhone, iPod Touch, etc.

Alexandra Potter books
I bought these books with very sweet covers for my dear! She loves reading. These days, reading is a lost art. In the Singapore train, looking around, most people play with iPhone and PSP. Some listen to iPod or just sleeping or do nothing. Reading people is never a majority anytime on train in Singapore.
Publishers will sometime bundle few of the books from famous authors together and sell them cheaper than usual. And this Alexandra Potter books is a bundle at S$29.95. Around $30 each. Usually, in Singapore, paperback novel is $18 each.

Harry Potter and No More iPhone
We watched Harry Potter 7 part I yesterday! This photo was taken by my dear who now is the rightful owner of my iPhone. It's her first time taking a picture and sending it via email to me. She is the rightful owner of iPhone as now she can officially use iPhone in her new workplace! *envy* hee.
