General Election 2006

As I am clearing my stuff in my cabinets, I suddenly found this! This is my polling card for the Singapore General Election 2006! This found is purely coincidental.

I'm wondering if I would get to vote for the next coming Election? :)

Sengkang Chicken Rice

Only chicken rice in famous places (like restaurants, Mei Ling Street, etc) is nice. I am pretty surprised that the chicken in Compassvale coffee shop is nice! The Hainanese texture, I like!

McDonald's Monopoly Game 2010

The McDonald's Monopoly Game is here again! I picked up this one from a bus. I like this board as the paper quality is better - cardboard hard.

As a Christian, I don't participate in lucky draw. So, for this Monopoly, it's merely a game to me. :)

Do You Love Clouds?

"In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. Daniel 7:13

Aircon repaired but another problem surfaced

We had our faulty aircon repaired today. The remote control sensor malfunctioned and the replacement caused us $192! But we discovered another problem. This time is with the condenser outside the flat. All the aircon units will suddenly auto-shutdown after 15 minutes of usage. And I have to "reboot" the condenser but switching it off and on again. This happens consistently. I will have to call the aircon man again on Monday.

Martial Arts Notepad

I finally found the martial arts manual ( 武功秘笈 ) notepad which I have been looking for! I bought one for my dad too who also like Jin Yong's martial arts novels.

For people who are interested, you can find them in Adxon gift shop in Funan Digital Life Mall #05-35. The shop is just besides the food court.

MacBook Air and My iPad

Who says iPad is out of stocks? Few weeks ago, I just walked into Best Denki and bought the 3G version without queuing! I wanted to wait for the new MacBook Air but the wait was too long.

Today, I found that I love using it a lot! I enjoyed iPad multi-touch screen and the user-interface which give iPad a very high usability. The design of the form factor makes holding the iPad easy. In fact, I dun find the crippled functions (e.g. lack of Adobe Flash, no USB ports, etc.) affecting the pleasure of using it.

I made the right choice to get an iPad over waiting for MacBook Air. :)

Graveyard in Hokkaido

From far, seems like tomb stones in everywhere are the same.

Moss Balls

When we were in Hokkaido, we saw many shops selling this moss-like ball plants. They are sold in small size and they will grow bigger and bigger, like the ones in the photo. Wonder if this hobby will catch on in Singapore?

Lizard Found Dead Inside Hair-dryer

We had been using the hair dryer for many months, unaware that a lizard had died inside. We did notice some burning smell, but thought that it was the coil heating up. When my dear opened up the cover, then she discovered the body of the long dead lizard, dried up. I tried to take out the lizard but unable to remove it through the holes, unable to remove the internal cover too... Should we buy a new dryer?

Mark and Eileen Wedding

I was the unofficial photographer for Mark and Eileen on their wedding day. I haven't been shooting weddings for 2-3 years I think! Though their wedding was on 4 Sept 2010, I only got back my CF card from the couple after their honeymoon. Now editing their photos and showing some random photos.

Photos taken using Canon 7D without flash at ISO 3,200.

A very sweet Precious Moments decoration with the bride having her make up session in the background.

The sisters came in, full of smiles!

Biblical verse and flowers for the twelve sisters.

The sisters preparing for the morning gate-crashing session.

They burst out in laughs suddenly! Wonder what had they planned?

Helping each others with the flowers.

The groom and his gang had arrived. What was the best man pointing!

Though Mark didn't sleep well the previous night (due to the excitement!), he was full of smile!

Guests arriving at the church, writing down congratulating words on small piece of handmade paper with a little red heart at the corner.

Groom and best man waiting eagerly for the march-in.

Church wedding, how can we miss out the most important thing - the Word of God!

 Flower girl!

Pastor and groom looking on in front of the altar.

Mark's brother with the digital SLR on a monopod. I think he was shooting video.

Here comes the bride!  Official photographer on the left.

Worship began - drummer, keyboardist and guitarist in action.

 Worship team on the altar.

Sermon speaker preached using Apple iPad.

Ring exchanged, captured nicely by Leon.

Welcome the newly wed! Look so happy....with people waving at them.

Mark and Eileen giving a short message after the ceremony in front of the altar.

They looked happy, aren't they? :)

Odori Park

We were walking along Odori Park in Sapporo. That's the TV tower.

We saw people feeding the pigeons.

And also people taking photos.

There was a horse carriage passing by.

Lots of well maintained and beautiful flowers.

Pigeons having their breakfast.
