Flowers

As tourists, we can appreciate the beautiful flowers along the roads. I wonder if the busy locals in Hokkaido have time to admire them?

Do You Love Clouds?

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the
clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30

Have you ever wonder what will the last days be like? I always wonder how will Lord Jesus "coming on the clouds of the sky"?

Shiitake Mushroom Tea

Does anyone know where can I buy this shiitake mushroom tea in Singapore?

It is one of the nicest tea I tasted. I drunk it when I was a kid. And after that I had never seen it anywhere in Singapore. This is how the tea bag looks like.

This is how the back of the tea bag looks like.

The tea bags are packed inside this Japanese doll metal tin. When I saw this tin in Hokkaido, I immediately noticed it and knew what was inside. If any of you know where can I get it in Singapore, please leave a comment. Thanks! :)

Famous School in Hokkaido

A famous school in Hokkaido. We guessed it appeared in some movie or TV drama. So, it became a famous tourist spot. But we weren't allowed to alight the bus to take photo. I took a quick snap while the bus was moving.

OpenNet Installation in Sengkang

Today, the OpenNet cable guys came to our house to lay the fibre for the next generation broadband.  It is free for the first 15 metres. Though the terminal point is only in the living room, it already takes up 11 metres. The appointment was 2pm but the 4 guys came at 1.30pm, which was good, I like people who came early. :)

The fibre cable runs from outside the house through a hole which the guy drilled. It runs up the false ceiling.

Down the wall. It is unsightly but we understand it cannot be helped.

 Along the skirting.

This is the terminal point for the fibre.

 Zoomed in.

So, do you think I'll subscribe to the fibre plan? I'll only do that when the price is similar to my current ADSL plan - I took the lowest price ADSL plan as I don't download things. I only surf net, email and occassional YouTube, which the slowest plan is more than enough.

Plate Breaks in Microwave Oven

We heard a loud noise in the kitchen. When we opened the microwave oven, we discovered that the plate had broken into two pieces! This was exactly the position when the plate split into two. We had used this same plate many times without issues.

Raindrops

I love rains when I am at home. Love the feeling of hiding at home and seeing the rains outside pouring.

My White Hair

It seems that aging has started! I didn't notice I have so much white hair years ago. If I can live till old age, by God's grace,  wonder how will I look like?

LG Aircon Spoilt

Our LG invertor aircon remote control sensor was spoilt. The aircon was as good as dead as there was no way we could switch it on! We had used it since 2004, so it was a good 6 years. I think lasting for 6 years is good enough already.

Hokkaido Trees

I always think that forest scenes are beautiful! Especially those with a tiny path and tree trunks with nice texture.

Abandoned Pink Umbrella in Hokkaido

We found an abandoned pink umbrella along the way down the hill. Who trashed it there? I found that in Japan, there are far less trash bins than in Singapore.
