Getting Along with Boss

This article from the Straits Times is about employees not able to get along well with bosses. Throughout my working days for the past many years, all my bosses so far were really good. Not only do they take care of staff work, they are also understanding when come to personal life.

Someone threw away boxes of LED TV, printer and microwave oven. Wonder who had bought these new stuff? For me, can you believe it, I am still using small CRT TV!

Tree Trunk

Tree trunk. A lot of tiny black ants were crawling out of the hole. But I think they were too small to be captured by the camera. Doesn't matter as the pattern of the tree trunk is beautiful.

Paul at Universal Studio Singapore - Charles' Works

Some of the photos of myself taken by Charles!

Tickets were all sold out but I still can go in thanks to Charles' ticket!

Do I look like Indiana Jones?

Lots of Good Books from National Library Book Exchange 2010

Look what we got from the National Library annual Book Exchange! This year we exchanged more books than last year and many are by famous authors like Nicholas Sparks, Haruki Murakami. This year, the Book Exchange opened at 830am instead of last year's 1030am.

This year, we didn't need to queue to go in as we went very late. But we are pleasing surprised that we still manage to get many good books!

Declaration of love on a bus

I remembered reading Old Master Q ( 老夫子 ) comic when I was a kid, 老夫子 will engrave his declaration of love to 陈小姐 on a tree trunk. Instead of tree trunk, this young couple like to scribble their love words on the bus seat?

Neighbourhood walkabout

Walking around our neighbourhood to see what interesting to shoot...

Potted plant in the staircase. Even in space constraint HDB apartment, space is made full use of for greenery.

Altar. We live in an environment where we have the freedom to choose what belief we want to practise.

Mini plant. Is this considered bonsai? Walking passed corridors, we can easily find many beautiful plants. Pause for a while and appreciate them.

Train station platform. Passengers waiting eagerly to get home for dinner.

We only have a tiny rubbish chute. I don't remember seeing any rubbish point here. So, I guess that's why residents dumped their large trash at the lobby.

You will often find chairs outside the HDB apartment. Chit chat area among neighbours.

Pegs to hang wet clothes. Other than the usual hanging area, residents like to hang larger items such as bed sheets or blankets at the corridor.

When I was a kid, I had a bicycle too. I often cycled around my old estate years ago.

The hole provides plenty of sunlight for the plants to grow.

The friendly neighourhood cat!

Another bicycle was spotted.

Some Photos of the Resort World Singapore

Before going into the Universal Studio Singapore, we went around the Resort World to snap some photos.

The grand entrance of Singapore's first casino!

Seems like from various parts of Resort World, we also can easily locate the casino as its big signs are common. I like this high arch walkway.

From here, we also spotted the casino sign.

Visitors will not miss this landmark-like ceiling.

Glowing red escalators!

And here's the glowing blue escalators.

The kid running towards the long-legged elephant which is carrying a pyramid-like thing.

Beautiful walkway with lots of shops.

Another iconic sight of the hotel lobby.

Why does this snake has a crown on its head?

Very large atrium.

Can you see the Merlion statue in the middle far end? This part of Sentosa has been renovated so beautifully that we can barely recognise.

Pyramid water fountain.

Another pyramid-like pointy structure spotted.

Street performance.... it's magic show! On TV, there is local TV drama about magic, Taiwanese magic show, USA magic show and Taiwanese magic competition variety show. Seems like magic has becoming very trendy today.
