Dramatic sun lights emerging from clouds.

Internet

I should use less Internet and read more books! Somehow, the glow in this photo is not photogenic. How can I make it nicer? I remembered those CBD (central business district) skyline night scenes, those lightings were nicer. Hmmm....

Sea

I love places with lots of water like the sea, lake, waterfall, streams...

Apple Packet Drinks

Empty apple packet drinks on the floor. The contrasting colours and positions form a nice composition!

Boo!

Boo!

Leaves on the Wall

I find that leaves growing on the wall are simply beautiful!

HDB Flats in Sengkang

When I was studying in secondary school, I remembered photo of HDB flats (in this above view) in my textbook! :P

Temples

Reflection of an Indian temple on the glass windows of a Buddhist temple. In Sengkang, near the Bakau LRT station, there are three temples along one stretch of road.

Nalgene Grey Tritan 500ml Bottle (BPA Free)

Getting this free bottle today prompted me to check what is BPA (wiki). There is a prominent sticker on the bottle that says "BPA free".

This is the full view of the new Nalgene 500ml bottle. I think translucent grey colour is very nice!

Clouds

I think these clouds look very 3D (3 dimension) !

Signboards

Samples of signboards displayed outside a shop which makes signboards. I always think that signboards are very interesting. As a simple diagram is so universal that everyone can understand what it means.

Old house at Prinsep Link

I saw this old house at Prinsep Link. I googled but cannot find any information on this old house. Do you know anything about it?

Compassvale Sunset

After Compassvale Pearl and View flats are built, we can only see a bit of the sun rise.  This photo was taken at 6.45am today using ISO 3,200. As I wanted to maintain a shutter speed of 1/60 because I don't have a tripod, I used such a high ISO. You can see that it is grainy.

My Sister's Keeper

This movie was from the famous writer Jodi Picoult which my wife likes. About a little girl called Anna who was conceived by in vitro fertilization to become a donor for her seriously cancer-sick elder sister. Due to the number of medical procedures, Anna suffered tremendous pain since 5 years old. Now, she wanted to stop all these and get control over her body back. So, she decided to engage a lawyer to sue her parents and get back her body. Of course, the story is more complex than this... I wouldn't reveal the spoilers.

Anna was acted by Abigail Breslin, a very sweet and cute little girl.

It is a good book!

Indian Fried Prawn

Do you know what is this food call?

Rusty Scissors

I have challenges spelling "scissors" when I was in school. Even now, I need to spell check! This pair of scissors was so rusty that the blades were not able to be opened. Stainless steel should not rust.

When one of my colleagues went to NUS (National University of Singapore) few days ago to apply for master degree studies, I thought to myself, I haven't been studying for years. That's bad. Our brains need exercising to keep it from being rusty. Most like I will be senile faster than my peers. Must pick up something to learn. Suggestion?

Muthu's Curry

This is our second visit to Muthu's Curry restaurant. We enjoyed the food tremendously during our first visit two weeks ago.

The signature curry fish head is very, very tasty!

Today, we ordered garlic naan and butter naan (What's a naan? Answer at wiki). Both are very delicious. And we love to eat them hot (temperature hot).

The fish's eye is tasty too.

Flames from a Stove

Glowing blue-coloured flame from a gas stove. Compared to electricity, our gas is way underutilised even though we bought a water kettle to boil water over the gas stove.

Which photos do you prefer? For me, somehow, I prefer the first one.

Will tell you how does it taste tomorrow!

Look, bird nest!

7-Eleven Quick Bites Chicken, Ham, Egg & Cheese Sandwich

For supper! Photos are taken at ISO 3,200.

Sunset at Jalan Kayu

I saw a beautiful sunset when I went to Jalan Kayu to eat roti prata few days ago.

My First BlackBerry - BlackBerry Tour 9630 Non-camera

My first BlackBerry! It is the BlackBerry Tour 9630 Non-camera edition. I like it berry much! Thanks to my colleague Ken who managed to secure a very good price and willing to deliver all the way to West Coast last night!

Sunset at Sengkang

Beautiful sunset viewed from Sengkang LRT train station.

Steamed Tilapia Hong Kong Style

The Hong Kong style steamed tilapia was much tastier than the grouper I had few days ago.

And surprisingly, it was ready in less than 15 minutes (compared to 25 minutes for the steamed grouper) and it was cheaper.

Jalan Kayu Otar - the best I have tasted so far

The Jalan Kayu otar shop sells the best otar I have tasted so far. Traditionally, otar is grilled over a charcoal flame. In the modern days, it is grilled over electrical heating elements. Whatever ways, this shop's otar is really great!

Lots of otar in the basket.

Here's it! Open the leave, here's how it looks.

Tender, juicy and very tasty in the mouth! And please eat it while it's hot!

Abundant Grace Presbyterian Church

Do you know that there is a church in Jalan Kayu? It's Abundant Grace Presbyterian Church. I pass by it whenever I go to buy roti prata. :)

Students outside MRT station

Outside this MRT station is a favourite place for students to gather to wait for their friends.

Student life is so good. I missed my secondary and poly school days!

Elderly Enjoying Games of Chess at Chinatown

Walking around Chinatown. I saw many elderly men gathering.

Guess what are they doing?

(above) This is the answer. I like their expressions.

Hot Property

Recently, property prices are sky high. Hence, we often receive lots of property advertisement flyers in our letter box. When I went into the lift, I saw some flyers being thrown on the floor.  I wonder how much can our flat sell today?

Jalan Kayu Proti Prata and Curry Chicken Drum Stick

One of the reasons I like Jalan Kayu's roti prata shop is because of the curry chicken drum stick.

Check it out! The meat is very tender and juicy!
