Singapore History

My last post of the year 2009 will be the history of Singapore exhibits when I visited the National Museum of Singapore.

Looking through history reassures me that the world is not making up of random incidents. Instead, everything is moving as planned by God.

Little Indian Girl

I was waiting for the traffic light and I saw this cute little Indian girl. Just happened that she also looked at me. :)

Pebblerium

Laselle College of the Arts

It was my first time passing by the Laselle college of the arts near Selegie Road. I have seen pictures of this beautiful building before though.

Futuristic looking building! It reminds of the last scene in the movie Sunshine.

The interior is equally beautiful. Looking at the man in the middle as a reference, you can estimate how big the place is.

Interesting design.

Last Day of Leave

Today is my last day of leave. I enjoyed the time having breakfast at home or at nearby coffeeshop.

Though I only took a few days of leave ( not those long stretch of 3 weeks type) here and there, it was good rest from work needed.

Clouds - part III

Some more clouds photos I have taken...

I enjoyed looking at them...relaxing to look at. Does it look like water colour?

Clouds are simply amazingly beautiful!

Eating at Orchard Road

Outdoor eating at Orchard Road... I like to eat the BBQ stingray! :P

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

It was my first time to Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Bukit Timah Campus and I think it had a beautiful campus.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic Revisited 2009

Graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic for many years. I had returned to see what were the changes. :)

The first thing I noticed was the "Student Plaza" sign.

Canteen 1 was demolished for new buildings. We called it the business canteen as it was just besides the business and accountancy blocks. It was just besides the Navigators' club house too.

Admin block. Still the same. The very first building I saw when I reached Ngee Ann that time.

I still remembered this road where I always crossed.

New stair case and a lift, going up to the library and the NP Orchard Road. Beautiful architecture!

Underneath the library building. When I first enrolled, I was impressed with the 4-5 storey library. I loved to go to the library to study.

Benches and tables. Remember the times where we all do group assignments and tutorial discussions.

The staircase accessed the library. The glass was a new structure.

Library had a face-lift too. Improved ambience.

NP Orchard Road - shopping lane - bookshop, computer shop, tidbit shop, gift shop.

Had been walking this path for 3 years to my Computer Studies block.

This was the roof-top path to block 31 too.

Block 27. It was tutorial rooms during my times.

We used one of the lecture theatres. Cannot remember the exact number.

Block 31. Our computer labs were in level 5 and 6, where we always stuck there till 9pm when the labs closed.

It was no longer called Centre for Computer Studies (CCS). It had more courses now such as multimedia etc.

The centre building was the new auditorium, it was called the convention hall now. This photo was taken from block 31. Sometimes we liked to hang outsides rooms of block 31 to enjoy the bird-eye view.

Last time, there wasn't any covered walkway.

I spotted a few familiar names! Click on the photo to zoom in if you cannot see clearly.

Level 8, CCS admin office. It was here where we submitted our assignments and projects.

New lift.

Under block 27 and 31. Another place we used to do group assignments.

Linkway to convention hall. Another tutorial discussion area. Of course, today, benches were upgraded.

Near convention hall. This area was totally new. We didn't have this previously.

Ngee Ann is much nicer and greener now. Current students were really fortunate.

Convention hall. Getting ready for Janunary 2010's open house.
Can't believe this sign board was still around! I'm glad it was kept as it's classic NP style.

So, this is the new building, replacing the old business canteen.
