New Singtel Data Usage app for iPhone

Someone developed a new iPhone app to show the data usage. Though it's very unlikely I'll exceed, but it's fun to see how much data I have clocked.

Wonder why Singtel itself never come out with such app in the first place?

We received the mooncake we ordered!

It's from Raffles Hotel. Snow-skin with champagne truffle and ganache!

I like the packaging.

8 pieces of mini mooncakes.

Review:

- smell very nice
- taste delicate, smooth, gentle and addictively good
- look very nice too

Singapore F1 road closure starts

The Singapore F1 Grand Prix road closure starts today. I just noticed that some buses' routes were affected and their estimated arrival times weren't able to be displayed too (those "no prediction" ones)

Piglet mooncake

Mooncake Festival is almost here!

We got this...but I think it looks more like a crocodile than a piglet-in-a-basket!

Cycling in East Coast

We went swimming on Saturday and cycling today :)

Due to the shades from the trees, it's not hot even though it was 12.30pm.

We haven't been to East Coast for years. We noticed that the rubbish bins have been painted with eco theme.

We cycled to the end of the cycling track. It was very peaceful where the track was ending as there wasn't many people, cyclists and skaters.

There was one of the scenes near where the track was ending.

We went to eat at the Christian steamboat inside Treats food court. We called it the "Christian steamboat" because the shop keepers put a prominently large cross near the wall behind the cashier.

I had this gigantic fish roe which my dear said that it looked gross. LOL. It did look like those life forms in alien movies. Hee.

Food Opera at Ion Orchard

Ion Orchard shopping centre opens for many months before we have the chance to go there.

We went to try the food court there. It was called Food Opera.

The fish soup is nice, the Hakka abacus is also nice. But expensive.

Knee Pain

I went to SGH to see doctor for my knee pain. Pain when squatting ... for 3 weeks.

The doctor was Dr Seow Kang Hong, Senior Consultant Musculoskeletal Centre, MBBS, FRCS (Edin & Glasg), FAMS (found this out in Google)

He said that it was sore/inflammed and needed to do a jab at my knee. And he advised me to start swimming and gave me some vitamin Bxx and calcium pills. Will see him in 3 months' time.

OK, will start swimming this Saturday :)

Compassvale View Construction

The plants were in at the centre of the circle today. Can you see the cat?

Below is the cat. Pardon me, I only have a 3x zoom lens.

There are quite a number of cats in Sengkang :)

Snow Leopard patch is out - 2 weeks after its launch!

I remembered I just upgraded to Snow Leopard on the day I had cell group. Today the first patch is out. LOL

It seems that Bing isn't making much progress

I happened to visit StatCounter today. It has been few months since Bing was launched.

Note that in June 2009, there was a spike increase of market share of Bing. (see below)

But after that it was flat. In fact, in Sept 2009, there was a slight increase in Google's market share.

Yay, I still love Google :)

I downloaded this Cooliris plug-in for Firefox. Cool! Make browsing photos into a 3D experience. LOL

iPhone Aquarium

Today's date is 09/09/09! This is the aquarium iphone app. The movements of the fish are actually very real like. Pretty good programming!

Singtel iPhone 3GS after nearly 2 months of usage

After nearly 2 months of usage I only clocked 1GB of data. My per month quota is 1GB. But I dun regret as I enjoyed the buffer - can use without worries :)

From the app Guess the Logo, I get to know TechCrunch. It can download all the different crunches news articles at one shot!

Don't know why TODAY app seems to display duplicated news article quite often. That's why I prefer Straits Times app.

Gundam Fiesta 2009 in Singapore

Went to the Gundam Fiesta 2009 in Compasspoint Shopping Centre in Sengkang.

Took some photos of the Gundam model kits using iPhone 3GS.

Editing my photos now.... Look, when I use Mac OS X's Expose, all the photos look so nice when aligned!

This pink robot below looks weird. Female robot?

Actually, I prefer this type (below).

This one below also looks weird. Translucent robot? LOL. Dun look jap-designed.

This one is even more weird looking.

This one below looks like Lego's Bionicle huh?

List of Applet / Functions in System Preferences Pop-up

When you right-mouse click on the System Preferences (Windows equivalent of the Control Panel) icon, you will see a list of functions/applets of the System Preferences. This small new feature is definitely very useful :)

DBS Internet Banking can work in Snow Leopard

I continued testing my apps in Snow Leopard. DBS internet banking, VLC, Adium, Google Chrome, Microsoft Office 2008 can work in Snow Leopard.

FTP client CyberDuck and disk duplicator SimplyBurns cannot work in Snow Leopard.
