Resident Evil Game on iPhone 3GS

Downloaded this Resident Evil game. Love zombies :)
But touchscreen control still not good enough for first person shooting arcade game leh.

Graphics and sound efx good enough though.

iPhone 3.0 SDK

Before I can learn how to write iPhone 2.0 apps, iPhone 3.0 SDK is out! And this one is even bigger than the 1.3GB, it's 2.1GB.

Installing...let's try writing something when I have time :)

On LRT, so took a snapshot of the construction site of the new Sengkang wet market.

The construction still very young. It will be completed by end of this year! :)

Thasevi Roti Prata

Went to Thasevi to eat roti prata. Afternoon is hot, so I guessed there wasn't many people.

My favourite chicken legs still taste as good :)

The egg prata is nice. Is it me or the kor song prata (plain prata) size has shrunk? I can now eat 2x kor song and 1x egg + 2 chicken legs.

iPhone 3GS data usage 2 weeks

Last week, I clocked 105MB. This week today 336MB (total since 11 July 2009). :)

Compassvale View

Took 2 Compassvale View flats using iPhone 3GS...bright daylight so exposure generally OK.

Look like they are almost OK, should be ready by early next year. :)

Next Bus Arrival Time iPhone App

I found this extremely useful iPhone apps called tranSGuide!

It can display the arrival times for all the buses of any bus stop.

Without this app, my old method was to send SMS to 74474. This SMS method costs 5 cents and it can only get one bus arrival time per message.

tranSGuide let me glance all the arrival times in one go. Cool! :)

Fine Cuts Premium Meat at The Central Clake Quay

When I saw the fridge displaying lots of red meat, I was already drawn to it. I pointed to a piece of Australian tenderloin and ordered a medium well.

GPS on iPhone 3GS in Singapore

Found a free GPS app. And it can be used in Singapore. The blue arrow is my travel path.


But I haven't found a way to see the map view only. Don't want to see the physical layout.

Running web server on iPhone

Found that can run a web server on iPhone using File Lite v 1.3.2. as the OS of iPhone is OS X/Unix.


I used it to upload my Hebrew Bible. As current there is no Hebrew Bible app. To read Hebrew Bible, I have to access the Internet.

Google My Location on iPhone

Just found this feature called "My Location" in Google search!



It can detect my current location and do localized search.

Remember that crop circle construction? Now it's clearer what is it.

The road after months of construction finally finished today! The gates were removed and workers are cleaning the roads.

Singtel Data Plan Usage for iPhone 3GS

Used the iPhone 3GS for 1 week, surfed net daily (1 hour per day during journey) mainly on Facebook, websites, forums, MSN chat, Straits Times, Hungry Go Where, location-based service, Google Maps.

My 3G is permanently connected too.



And this is how much I have used. So little! I guessed 1GB data plan is more than sufficient.

105MB per week, 1 month will be around 450MB...

Happy :) As I dun feel restricted. Just used and never think about over the quota. 500MB data plan will cause a little restrictive feeling...

How to do a screen capture on iPhone

I just found out how to do a screen capture on iPhone.

Just press and hold your Home key and press the Power button once. The screen capture will be stored in your Photos directory.

Got some interesting construction in CVV...

I got my iPhone 3GS!

I got my iPhone 3GS ... very last minute!

Initially I changed my pre-order to collect after launch day at CompassPoint as people queued for 6 hours today. But my wife asked me to try tonight as probably at night not many people.

So last minute, I went down to Orchard.

I reached about 820pm and was ushered from one station to anther pretty fast. And I reached the first tent around 930pm. By 10pm already into ComCentre and doing the purchase.

I pre-ordered the white one but I changed my mind to the black one last minute. Hee.

I enjoyed my buying experience as the queue is not long and the weather is cooling (as it was raining). :)

iPhone Singtel launch too long queue!

As I read on internet forums that the queue was very long and that Singtel website stated 6 hours queue, I decided to change my pre-order. So I didn't go down to Singtel Orchard ComCentre today. :)

I change my collection point to Compass Point and a later date.

Singtel launches iPhone 3GS in Singapore

At WWDC, Singapore will get iPhone 3GS on 9 July. So Singtel launches on 10 July 2009, which is 9 July USA's time.

iPod Touch cannot be detected after upgraded to Leopard

My first problem after I upgraded my OS X Tiger to Leopard without re-format.

My iPod Touch cannot be detected!

The iPod Touch can be detected on my other computer, my iPod Nano can be detected. Swopping of USB cables dun help.



The Internet points me to Apple's Knowledge Base http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747

Delete iTunes and AppleMobileDevice.kext and re-install iTunes and everything is fine again! :)

New Firefox 3.5 icon

Call me bo liao, but I scrutinised the new Firefox 3.5 icon. It looks different from the old Firefox 3.0 one. LOL
