I just heard someone young who just diagnosed with late stage of cancer. I suddenly was reminded of a sermon emailed to me about "The Frailty of Life".
Here's the conclusion of the sermon,

" Let us pray that God would make each one of us aware of the brevity and the fleeting nature of life, and to impress upon us all that our lives and times are determined by Him. At best our life span is only about our handbreadth, the width of our palm.
May David’s prayer be also ours: "LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am" (Psalm 39:4). Impress upon us, Lord, whether we are young or old, whatever our age, to realize that our time is running out. And therefore, do what we can while there is time for the extension and expansion of God’s Kingdom on earth and for His own glory and honour. "

Humans always got the mentality that death is still far away. Actually, everyday we are walking towards our death, like it or not we are counting down to death.
Often we have the mentality that illness will not strike us.
Treasure each day, be thankful while we are still living, enjoy the wonder of life, dun complain so much, smile more, don't be surprised if illness strikes as it can anytime and live a god-pleasing life.
