Bing VS Google in Singapore

What I like about MS Bing is the beautiful background wallpaper, which changes regularly.

Tried Bing...but so far Google can do the job very well and I dun see the need for another search engine.

Kaypoh me go and see the statistics at gs.statcounter. Google still leader worldwide, where's Bing? LOL

Looking at Singapore statistics, there is some (small) Bing market share.

Upgraded Mac OS X Tiger to Leopard

I just upgraded my 4-year-old Mac from Tiger to Leopard.

The process took around 30 minutes. I am pleasantly surprised that the migration is smooth! All I did was click "next", "next", "next"... All my apps, settings, wallpapers, icons, accounts are there.

Wonder if a Windows XP that has been used for 4 year can be upgraded to Vista without re-format? Probably people don't. They probably format away the XP and re-install Vista. LOL

The only problem is my Leopard is 10.5.0 and I have to download 730Mb of patches to update to 10.5.6. Ha. Do it tmr....

Remember the previous post that the construction works scheduled to complete on 17 Jun 2009?

Well, the construction did finish on 17 Jun 2009... but the re-lying of tiles, clearing up and opening the road didn't finish on 17 Jun 2009. So, is it consider complete? Hmmm.

Pan Fried Salmon

A simple pan-fried salmon.

The salmon is amazingly hard to complete cook it due to its thickness!

Pan-fried salmon tastes very nice. Crispy skin! :)

A very simple dish to prepare, just salt and the natural taste of salmon.

CommunicAsia 2009

This year I didn't see NTT Docomo, Sony Ericsson, Nokia booths...

The LG phone with transparent keypad looks nice on the website. But I dun like the real thing.

Samsung full touchscreen phones (below) mostly using AMOLED screen which is very brilliant and vibrant in colours.

This DJ phone (below) is interesting.

Also did try out the BlackBerry Bold and Storm. Not my cup of tea.

The Frailty of Life

I just heard someone young who just diagnosed with late stage of cancer. I suddenly was reminded of a sermon emailed to me about "The Frailty of Life".

Here's the conclusion of the sermon, click here to read full sermon from Life BP.
" Let us pray that God would make each one of us aware of the brevity and the fleeting nature of life, and to impress upon us all that our lives and times are determined by Him. At best our life span is only about our handbreadth, the width of our palm.
May David’s prayer be also ours: "LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am" (Psalm 39:4). Impress upon us, Lord, whether we are young or old, whatever our age, to realize that our time is running out. And therefore, do what we can while there is time for the extension and expansion of God’s Kingdom on earth and for His own glory and honour. "

Humans always got the mentality that death is still far away. Actually, everyday we are walking towards our death, like it or not we are counting down to death.

Often we have the mentality that illness will not strike us.

Treasure each day, be thankful while we are still living, enjoy the wonder of life, dun complain so much, smile more, don't be surprised if illness strikes as it can anytime and live a god-pleasing life.
