New GUI in Snow Leopad

I find Mac OS X GUI very nice and pleasantly addictive to use.

I think Windows interface is not very well written. Use a while, eyes and hands ache. LOL. I think OS X GUI is well thought out - the colours, interface, design, workflow is very ergonomics. :)

Now there is rumor that in the next version, the GUI will be revamped!

Hope that the new one will be well thought out too. :p

Blogger Login Error

I couldn't login to Blogspot yesterday evening.

I thought it was Safari or Firefox error, so I use Windows' Internet Explorer. Also the same.

Now it's ok...if not, I wouldn't be posting here. Hee.

Rainbow and Mars

Today the sky is very red! And I saw a rainbow, though not so clear.

Can you spot the rainbow in the photo below? Near the crane.

Here's another view of the rainbow in the photo below. At the top left hand side.

Look at the photo below. The redness looks like planet Mars landscape. Remember the movie Total Recall? :P

This is really the colour of the sky without computer touchup.

I edited the photo below to make the rainbow more obvious. Can you see it now? Hee.

Robots

Looking at even latest robots, I think robot technologies are still extremely primitive.

I was looking at this article.

Pizza Hut Hot Delivery

We ordered pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner.

Remember the hot delivery sticker that indicates if the pizza is delivered hot?

This is how the sticky looks like when the pizza is hot.

After eating all our pizzas, the sticker will turn dark, indicating it's not hot anymore.

Out of curiousity, I turned the pizza to see the underneath. The bottom looks different from normal pan pizza. Pizza Hut using new baking trays? :P

Southern Ridges

Today we went to the Southern Ridges near Harbour Front MRT station.

The ground with lots of fallen leaves look nice huh!

I think the trees look very nice.
That's me on the Henderson Waves bridge.

1970s Colours?

Playing with Photoshop CS2 (yay, I know it's super outdated, recession no money to upgrade)...took a pic of the Compassvale View construction, changed to sepia tone.

Does it look like 1970s? You know those in national heritage book in the early days of Singapore...hee. Think probably need to brush up Photoshop skills. :P

Dell Adamo

Dell lappy doesn't usually catch my eye.

But Dell Adamo caught my attention immediately. It's ultra slim, chio, premium finishing!

Norton Internet Security 2009

I have not been using Windows on my virtual machine for years. Found that the Norton Anti-Virus 2007 subscription has expired. So I replaced with NIS 2009, come with 1 year signature subscription.

I dun really like NAV as it's slow and hog resources. But NIS is fast and use much lesser resources. Goody! :)

I think by the time I run Windows again on my VM will be year 2011, if by God's grace I'm still alive. :)

Israel in the World: Changing Lives through Innovation

Received this book few days ago from Amazon.com. Colourful book with lots of photos.

A very interesting read about Israeli's technologies.

A few juicy points: how Israel converts desert into farming lands using technologies, Israeli-designed surface-to-air missile detection and counter-measure system on civilian planes and Tel Aviv University's Professor Erez Etzion contribution to the famous CERN Large Hadron Collider.

Dinner at Home

Had nice dinner at home though we cannot go Sentosa and Zoo (managed to get free passes for them) as I'm sick. No more flu and running nose, but the cough is very bad. Extremely itchy throat that causes sudden burst of non-stop coughing fit. :(

Poladroid

Got runny nose and flu. So stayed at home.

Download this Poladroid software to play. It converts your existing photos to poladroid look and feel.

Compassvale Beacon Construction

The Compassvale View construction is half way through. I guess by end of this year or early next year, the flats will be done.

This picture is taken early in the morning of the crane for another construction near our house. This one ready in Nov 2011...so long.

Marley & Me

The movie Marley & Me is out! It is from a true story written by John Grogan, published and became a bestseller novel. :)

Wondering if we can get the tickets?
