Safari's History in graphical 3D

I just found out that Safari's history is in graphical 3D format. Sliding the horizontal scrollbar will animate the pages just like in Cover Flow!

I usually find 3D applications not very practical. But this one is useful. When all the titles of the webpages in history are merely words, it's hard to know which is which. Cover Flow history definitely makes things a lot easier. :)

Sports

The large field next to Compasspoint Shopping Centre is very popular for sports. Sometimes I saw people playing frisbee and baseball.

Hazy Morning

Slightly hazy yesterday morning huh?

I think few days ago, the haze returned. I could sense a bit of the burnt smell.

Sengkang Kite Day

Few days ago, we went for a swim at the new Sengkang swimming complex (which has 2 large pools, few wading pools, playground pools like the one in Downtown East and 1 big splash type of slides).

On our way back we saw lots of people flying kites. First time seeing so many people gathered there, so I guessed it was a kite festival!

Many kite fans' cars parked along the roads.

People having great family time together!

Father teaching the son how to fly kite and the son looking elsewhere. Hee.

View from the Farmway LRT station.

Let's zoom in to the various type of kites...

Colour huh?

Long lizard tail?

These kites need 2 hands to control.

Cuttlefish kite. It's pretty long, about 3 metres.

This octopus kite is even longer. Think about 6-7 metres! See the mini stingray kite following it? :P

Look a bit like radioactive logo.

Love is in the air! Specially for Valentine's Day?

Another view of the octopus kite. Does it look like a character from Harry Potter movies? Yes, it looks like a dementor!

Stingray!
Long tail....

Even longer tail!

Valentine's Day Cake and Dinner

We bought Awfully Chocolate cake from Vivo City. It is very nice!

Check out the yummy chocolate layers!

This is how it looked like when we opened the box.

We cooked our own Valentine's Day dinner :)

Home-cooked baked teriyaki chicken breast. The chicken meat is tender and juicy. Salad from Cold Storage.

Home-cooked ribeye steak!

Websense

Today I heard that part of Websense's data loss prevention component was first developed for the Israel military. Cool!!

I like to read up about Israeli technologies! :P

FYI...some of Israel's famous IT products like Checkpoint firewall, ICQ messenger, extension of PHP, some components of Intel's dual-core CPU.

As I am reading about המוסד, I happened to see this assassination list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Israeli_assassinations. Eye opening.

Isarel Election 2009

Today is Israel's election!!!!!

Google has special logo for Israel election. :)

The "G" has the word "בחירות" which means elections. I suspect it comes from the root word "בחר".

雪山飛狐

雪山飛狐 is a very nice show! Though it's 40 episodes, I felt like its pace is good. At first I thought the story line is simple, just fighting in the snowy mountains.

But it's much more than that, script is complex yet well-linked -- very well written. (if only our local dramas' storyline can achieve 10% of this standard, it will be considered worth watching.)

I haven't read the books before. If the show is good, it can only mean that the books will be much better! 金庸 is really a talent!

Google Earth and Buangkok MRT

Long time never play with Google Earth. The news about Google Ocean triggers my interest in Earth again.

I went to see Buangkok MRT and found this image below.

See there isn't any flats around Buangkok MRT, no NTUC, no Kopitiam City yet. Areas around the MRT station still undeveloped yet. :P
